What is Worknice Workflows?

Do I need to be technical to build a workflow?
No. Worknice Workflows is designed for HR leaders, not developers. You build processes visually by combining triggers, actions, tasks and approvals, no code, formulas or scripting required. If you can describe the process, you can build it.

What kinds of HR processes can I automate with Workflows?
Anything repeatable. Common examples include onboarding and pre-boarding, role changes and promotions, parental leave and return-to-work, probation reviews, internal transfers, certification and licence renewals, exit and offboarding, and policy or contract refresh cycles.

How is this different from automation tools like Zapier or Make?
Generic automation tools sit outside your HRIS, so they can only push data between systems with limited context. Can I trigger workflows from events like start date?
Yes. Worknice can auto-enrol people into workflows based on lifecycle events that already exist in the system, including hire date, first working day, probation end, role change, manager change, last working day, leave start and return, and certificate expiry dates.

Can workflows send tasks to managers, IT and payroll — not just HR?
Yes. Tasks can be assigned to individuals, roles (such as direct manager or payroll lead) or whole teams, with reminders and overdue notices so nothing falls through the cracks. That makes it easy to coordinate work that crosses HR, IT, finance and operations.
